Hues of blue, green and yellow illuminated the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lilburn for Diwali, the Festival of Lights. The Mandir steps were lit with hundreds of candles, and fireworks filled the night sky.

Purbasha, the newest Bengali organization of Atlanta, for the first time celebrated Kali Puja. A 450-plus crowd was treated to a concert by Bhoomi, fusion of modern, urban lyrics with Bangla rural folk tunes.
