At the Hindu Temple of Atlanta’s volunteer appreciation day dinner on August 14, the temple also donated to Clayton County Police Officers Fund to aid families of officers killed in the line of duty, and awarded four scholarships to deserving students.

Rising sixth graders to rising seniors, students from all backgrounds and with no prior knowledge of Hindi required, came from as far away as New Jersey and North Carolina for a 10-day immersion Hindi program, presented by Balvihar Hindi School of Atlanta, using a federal grant.

India American Cultural Association (IACA) celebrated its 15th annual Festival of India and the 40th anniversary of IACA at the Gwinnett Center on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Past presidents and community members were honored amidst performances, booths, and gala mela atmosphere.
