Narender Reddy, an Indian American community leader with decades of civic leadership, has been appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to the Board of the Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority (GTEA). The authority was established through legislation passed by the Georgia General Assembly in April 2026 to streamline and strengthen key transportation functions previously carried out by the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority (ATL) and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA).
The appointment continues Reddy’s more than two decades of service in Georgia’s transportation sector. Over the past 22 years, he has served on the Board of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority after being appointed by Governors Sonny Perdue, Nathan Deal, and Brian Kemp. In that role, he has worked to support transportation planning and mobility for communities across Georgia.
A Georgia resident for 40 years, Reddy earned bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Law from Osmania University in Hyderabad and an MBA from the University of Evansville in Indiana. He is the owner and president of Sterling Realty Services, Inc., a commercial real estate firm, and was a founding director of one of the nation’s first Indian American-owned banks, where he helped oversee commercial loan screening.

Reddy has served the Indian American community for more than three decades, including as president of several Indian American organizations and the Hindu Temple of Atlanta. A longtime member of the Republican Party, he was the Republican candidate for the Georgia State House in the 2022 and 2024 elections.
Reflecting on his public service, Reddy has said, “While community service is my passion, getting into politics and public service is my way of giving back to this great country that gave me so much even beyond my dreams.” He has also said, “I always strived hard to get our Indian American community to participate actively in mainstream politics.”
On his latest appointment, Reddy said he was “deeply honored” to be appointed by Governor Kemp to the GTEA Board and thanked the governor “for his confidence and trust.” He added that he looks forward to working with his fellow board members to help advance transportation efficiency, mobility, and economic growth across Georgia.
