Sri Vaishnavi Ghantasala, a
Chattahoochee High School senior, was
presented the Girl of the Year award at
the Georgia Aquarium by Women in
Technology (WIT), an Atlanta-based nonprofit
that promotes STEAM careers for
women “from the classroom to the boardroom.”
Vaishnavi plans to major in computer science and math and be a data analyst.
Meanwhile, she is VP of the Computer Science
for Girls Club, Team Captain of Modern Physics Club,
President of Medha Club, cofounder of SpeakPro (club
for student communication skills), enjoys sketching,
singing, and badminton, and has won second place
at the international (USA-Canada) level of the Telugu
Maatlaata competition for three years.
