Sarita Shah is one of three Emory University faculty members who have been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), recognized as one of the nation’s oldest and most respected medical honor societies for physician-scientists. Dr. Shah serves as a professor of epidemiology and global health at the Rollins School of Public Health and co-director of the Clinical & Population Science Core for the Emory/ Georgia Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center. Her research and public health efforts have focused on drug-resistant TB and TB/HIV co-infection in multiple high-burden settings throughout sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
