Poonam Datta, founder of Seva Adult Care, located in Global Mall, Norcross, received the Humanitarian of the Year Award at the 12th Annual U.S. Congressional Awards Gala in June. She was recognized for her service to seniors in the Atlanta metro area. The Global Community Oscars Gala honors 33 individuals from various sectors who display excellent leadership, passion, and dedication while working to uplift communities. The awards are presented by the American Multi Ethnic Coalition (AMEC) and the Multi Ethnic Advisory Task Force (MEATF).
