Nazeera Dawood honored for contributions to City of Atlanta

Celebrating the Women’s History Month at the Atlanta City Hall, Council Member Andrea L. Boone passed a resolution honoring Dr. Nazeera Dawood for her contribution to the City of Atlanta and the advancement of women in business. In this special ceremony commemorating Dr. Dawood, the Atlanta City Council officially declared March 7 as Dr. Nazeera Dawood Day. Dawood has served for over 20 years in the public and private sectors. After starting out as a medical doctor, Dawood, who earned a master’s degree in public health from UNC-Chapel Hill, went on to work in various public service roles for eight years. She co-founded and is currently CEO of Vendorship Inc., a company that connects IT, construction, and other professional services with government offices to help public administrators find technological support and innovative solutions for their problems.
