Khushii Ssharma, a sophomore at South Forsyth High School, was named Georgia State Champion in the Presidential AI Challenge, a White House initiative created to advance artificial intelligence education among American youth.
The competition invited students to develop innovative AI-based solutions addressing real-world community problems. Ssharma designed an AI system focused on substance abuse intervention using large language models and advanced system architecture.
Her project earned first place in Georgia in the High School Track 1 category and was recognized by judges from industry and academia for its strong technical design. The project was also ranked among the top 110 high school submissions nationally.
Following the recognition, Ssharma plans to continue developing and expanding the project.
