Kaiya Patel (left) was a member of Paideia B, the junior high academic bowl team from Paideia School that broke multiple records on its way to winning the national title in the 35th annual National Academic Championships – Junior level, in New Orleans.
Paideia won the title for the second year in a row. The school swept the top three spots of the competition, and was the first school to have three teams in the final four in the history of the competition. Team B was the first all-girls team to make the final four, and then the first all-girls team to win the championship.
