CREATE-X, an entrepreneurship
teaching program at Georgia Tech, will partner with Amazon to mentor and fund student
start-ups in the fields of voice technology and conversational AI. Amazon’s Alexa Fund provides up to $200 million in venture capital to spur research in voice technology
innovation. Georgia Tech is the fifth university to be supported by this program. Raghupathy “Siva” Sivakumar, director and co-founder of CREATE-X, says the funding will empower students in the program to translate their ideas in the field of voice technology into viable businesses. CREATE-X has mentored several
AI-based start-ups such as Highview, Pelori, Career Blitz, and Next Century Farms.
