Aniruddh Bakshi, a PhD student in the College of Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology, has been selected as an inaugural Community Engagement Graduate Fellow, a new program supported by a gift from Google. The year-long fellowship awards up to $5,000 to graduate students developing communityfocused projects across metro Atlanta. Bakshi’s research examines drug delivery at the intersection of organic chemistry, biochemistry, and immunology, with relevance to vaccine science, including mRNA-based technologies. He began his doctoral studies at Georgia Tech in 2024 after completing his undergraduate education at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, and participating in research programs in Switzerland and Canada.
