Kiran Reddy, an 18-year-old from Douglas, Georgia, made history after being crowned Miss Teen USA 2026, becoming the first Indian American to win the national title. Reddy, representing Georgia, was crowned at the 44th Miss Teen USA competition held Aug. 26 in Miami.
The national honor follows another milestone for Reddy, who became the first Indian American to hold the Miss Georgia Teen USA title. Her Miss Teen USA victory also marked Georgia’s first national win in the history of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions.
Reddy graduated as valedictorian of Coffee High School’s Class of 2026 and is attending the University of Georgia, where she is studying biological sciences on a pre-med track. She plans to pursue a career in women’s health or obstetrics and gynecology. Her interest in the field grew in part from spending time around her father’s medical practice and volunteering in the labor and delivery nursery at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Beyond academics and pageantry, Reddy has been active in community service in Coffee County. She has read to elementary school students, volunteered with senior residents, and organized a charity pageant that raised $3,000 for Alzheimer’s awareness. She has also participated in the Douglas Mayor’s Youth Council and Chamber Ambassador Program and established a hygiene cart at her high school.
Before entering pageantry at age 15, Reddy competed in varsity swimming and competitive gymnastics. She had previously finished as a runner-up in the Miss Georgia Teen USA competition before winning the state title this year and advancing to the national stage.
As Miss Teen USA 2026, Reddy will represent the United States at the Miss Teen Universe competition in Cambodia later this year.
