Aarti Sharma, vice president of Policy and Strategy for RedefinED, is among the 40 Under 40 recognized by The Atlanta Business Chronicle. The publication selected Sharma and the other members of their 2023 class from a pool of 300 nominees to honor the “young, rising leaders of Atlanta” who are at the forefront of the business and advocacy worlds. RedefinED is a nonprofit that works to secure greater funding for underserved communities. Sharma leads statewide coalitions that develop and support policies focused on education and children. She worked closely with the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Charter Schools Association to secure $75,000 in federal funding for the creation of a charter school serving minority communities. Earlier this year, Sharma was selected for the Atlanta Regional Commission’s 2023 Regional Leadership Institute.
