The big buzz this time is that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the late superstar, Rajesh Khanna — who happens to be Akshay’s father-in-law — in a biopic on the legendary music composer RD Burman being directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Meanwhile, it is now official that Farhan Akhtar will play the iconic RD or Pancham da as he was fondly known. Several prominent names are expected to join the project in key roles in the coming weeks. Music sittings are currently underway for the film, which is expected to go on the floors in a couple of months.
