New films in Bollywood: Rohit Shetty’s ambitious mega budget film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif / Bachchan Pandey ,the action-comedy film starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon / Awaited biggie, Ek Villain 2 is set to release on January 8 /The Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Sanghi has bagged her second movie as the leading actress. Titled Om: The Battle Within, the action film stars Aditya Roy Kapur as the leading man.

Well, director Anurag Basu returns to this format in his latest offering, a goofy take on love and loss, which effectively uses the popular game of Ludo as a metaphor. There are four diverse, intersecting narratives which are full of outlandish humor and color. But when so much is happening, is it any wonder that the writing is uneven in parts and some twists seem forced.

Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get worse, along comes the horror-comedy Laxmii to prove you wrong. The remake of a Tamil hit Kanchana, written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmii, previously titled Laxmi Bomb, is so absurd that it can’t even begin to entertain you. What’s more, Akshay’s unabashed caricaturing of his transgender avatar dilutes the film’s basic message about the society’s insensitivity towards the third gender.
