Sunny Deol’s much awaited period drama, earlier titled Lahore 1947, has now been renamed Batwara 1947. The film reunites Sunny Deol with Rajkumar Santoshi. Besides Aamir Khan, who will be seen in a supporting role, others in the cast are Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.
Action thriller Alpha is set to hit the screens on July 3, a week before its scheduled date. Starring Alia Bhatt and Sharwari Vagh, Alpha also features Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
Another July release is Dhamaal 4. Directed by Indra Kumar, the action comedy film stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Gupta, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The first Dhamaal was released in 2007.
Salman Khan and South Indian superstar Nayanthara (of Jawan fame) are reportedly set to share screen space for the first time in a movie being directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Some reports suggest that the film may be titled The Messenger.
