Atlanta Hosts First Combined International Yoga Day, World Music Day, and Father’s Day Celebration

Atlanta hosted its first combined celebration of International Yoga Day, World Music Day, and Father’s Day on June 21 at Mehak Indian Kitchen, bringing together wellness enthusiasts, musicians, community leaders, families, and advocates for a day focused on health, culture, music, and community.

The event was presented by Jashan Events and Global Entertainment and Media Services and organized by Mustafa Ajmeri and Krish Goyal, who envisioned a program celebrating wellness, music, family values, and community engagement.

Renuka Molleti served as the master of ceremonies, guiding attendees through a program that connected participants across generations and cultures.

The celebration began with an International Yoga Day session led by Isha Goyal, an accomplished yoga instructor. Participants practiced yoga and meditation while embracing the principles of mindfulness, wellness, and inner peace.

The program continued with a World Music Day performance led by vocalist Veena Pothula. Through a selection of musical performances, she highlighted music’s role as a universal language that brings communities together.

Guest speakers Kamalesh Chugh, a community leader and speaker, and Hetal Mehta addressed the audience. Chug spoke about cultural preservation, service, and community unity, while Mehta encouraged attendees to embrace leadership, positivity, and meaningful community engagement.

The event also recognized Father’s Day, honoring fathers for their dedication, sacrifices, guidance, and love, adding a family-centered dimension to the celebration.

Mehak Restaurant sponsored the event. Organizers also acknowledged Anwar Ajmeri for overseeing the audio and sound support, along with the performers, volunteers, sponsors, speakers, community leaders, families, and attendees whose participation contributed to the success of the inaugural celebration. They also extended special recognition to Isha Goyal for leading the International Yoga Day session.
