On July 26, the Writers’ Forum and Urdu Library of Atlanta welcomed Mumbai-based Urdu poet and author Dr. Navroze Kotwal for an engaging afternoon of conversation, literature, and poetry. The special baithak brought together members of Atlanta’s literary community for a lively exchange of ideas, reflections on Urdu literature, and poetic expression.
Kotwal, whose work as a poet and writer has earned him recognition in literary circles in India, captivated the audience with his insights, wit, and love for the language.
Kamran Khimani skillfully moderated the program, guiding an engaging conversation with the guest of honor. Natasha Naqvi presented a thoughtful introduction to Kotwal’s literary journey and contributions, setting the stage for an enriching discussion.
The gathering also featured poetry recitals by Sadaf Farooqi, Khimani, Dr. Irtaza Barlas, and Farooq Siddiqui, whose diverse voices added warmth and depth to the event.
