Blissfulness beyond Bounds

It is very important that your body, mind, emotion, and energy are evenly cultivated. Only then you can be utterly blissful and still be perfectly efficient and capable in everything that you are doing.

The word spirituality is one of the most corrupted words on the planet. It has been used and misused in a million different ways, largely because of ignorance, but many times out of unscrupulousness. This has generated a high level of confusion and doubt in people’s minds as to whether spirituality is really worthwhile in the end.

You can think about God, about liberation, about spirituality, but the thought itself can never be spiritual; it is a psychological process. Mind, body, and emotion are different dimensions of life. There is nothing right about them, there is nothing wrong about them. It all depends on how you use them—but they cannot be spiritual.

Spirituality does not belong to the physical realm. When we say spirituality, we are talking about a dimension which is beyond this integrated mechanism of body, mind, emotion, and physical energy. This fantastic amalgamation which has become a human being is just the play of the five elements: water, earth, air, fire, and space. But this play is so beautifully constructed that it is complete by itself. Though this and the rest of the existence are the same material, because If its integrity, it looks absolutely individual right now.

This creation is so perfect within itself, you could forget the Creator, and still it would go on. The problem is, once one realizes the perfection of what this is, people will forget God and they will lean on something else. If one does not lean on anything else, if one does not need anything from the outside, either a relationship, psychological or emotional help, nothing, one becomes like the Creator. A piece of creation naturally transforms itself into the Creator itself.

If you just want to cross the limitations of your existence, if you just want to enjoy the freedom and bliss of it, all it takes is an intense focus towards any one thing. This is not possible for people who are doing too many things at the same time. If one wants to get somewhere, one has to stick to one thing.

There are four dimensions of Yoga: Gnana, Bhakthi, Karma, and Kriya. People who are highly intellectual, who are totally up there, are socially incompatible. People who are absolutely on devotion are also socially incompatible. People who are totally in terms of service are socially incompatible. People who are too much on energy are also socially incompatible.

If these four dimensions are handled in even balance, you can be in the heights of experience and still be socially compatible. This is something that we have very successfully manifested in Isha. If you have to go beyond the barriers of what is considered normal and still be socially compatible, it is very important that your body, mind, emotion, and energy are evenly cultivated. Only then you can be utterly blissful and still be perfectly efficient and capable in everything that you are doing. This I feel is most needed in today’s world.

Once this is achieved, there is a tremendous freedom to create anything that you want around you or within you or anywhere in the world because the very fundamentals of life are in your hands. Suddenly, there is no limitation of time and space. If this capability has to come, the first and foremost thing is to get into ecstatic states—absolutely mindless ecstasy.

It is in search of this that people who are not willing to work for it choose alcohol or drugs. If people create some sense of freedom chemically or by other external means, you will notice when they don’t have that support, they will become utterly miserable. If people just escape by chance, if they have not built their own ladder to climb out at will, they generally get psychologically broken.

The essence of the spiritual process needs to be understood as a means to generate the necessary intensity to break the limitations of the body and mind so that you are out of your individual nature. Enlight- enment is beyond logic. There is nothing. Then everything flows through you. You become the gateway. The whole Existence is within your grasp you can explore almost everything.
