Rahul Bali is anchor and editor at CNNRadio
Having joined CNN in February 2005, Rahul Bali is based at the network's headquarters in Atlanta, where he is an anchor and editor at CNNRadio. Prior to going there, he was a news/talk producer and reporter for WSB Radio in Atlanta. He also worked at WZGC in Atlanta, WVNN in Huntsville, Alabama, and WREK at Georgia Tech. Bali graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in economics. An active member of the Asian American Journalist Association, he served as the 2005-2006 president of the Atlanta chapter. Bali is also involved in the local theater scene. At a panel discussion in Atlanta last year, Bali noted that "it is important for journalists of specific ethnicities to stay involved in their news organizations so that they can alert their editors and producers when stories might be overlooked or be insensitive to touchy subjects." He added that his background gave him a good perspective when he was covering the tsunami disaster in 2004.
