Amitabh Sharma receives Indo-American Pride Award

An active community member in Atlanta, Amitabh Sharma serves as director of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and as vice president (S.E.) of the National Federation of Indian American Associations. He is also closely associated with Saakar, a local theater group, and the Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple. Earlier this year in India, Speaker Mata Prasad Pande of the U.P. State Assembly bestowed the Indo-American Pride Award 2006 on Sharma. D.P. Mishra, minister for science and technology, presided over the official ceremony at Hotel Janpath in Delhi.
