HipHopistan, the “Land of Hip Hop,” featured performances, discussions, and workshops with South Asian American artists such as Abstract/Vision, MC Kabir, Chee Malabar, Yogi B & Natchatra, and DJ Rekha. The conference was sponsored by the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the Chicago Opera Theater, and the Association for Asian American Studies.
