Catch Kal Penn at a theater near you
Kal Penn (Kalpesh Modi) is at it again. After the success of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, a cult-classic in the DVD circuit, Penn appears as the first ever Indian actor in a lead role in a Hollywood film, this one no less another cult classic in the National Lampoon franchise. National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj will open in theaters across North America on Friday, December 1, 2006.
This dashing young actor, whom Khabar first profiled and interviewed in our August 2004 issue, is going places. Next year he will be seen in Fox Searchlight's Mira Nair-directed film The Namesake and on Fox Television's Emmy Award-winning action series 24.
