MOVIE UPDATE March 2004
After Kal Ho Naa Ho, Shah Rukh Khan will now be seen in his home production Main Hoon Na directed by his close friend and well known choreographer Farah Khan. SRK's co-stars in the movie are Sushmita Sen and Suniel Shetty, who plays a negative character. The film is scheduled for a March-April release.
Now that Ram Gopal Varma's latest production, Ek Hasina Thi, has hit the screens and brought him critical acclaim, he has already started work on two new films. Sushmita Sen and Arjun Rampal have reportedly been signed up for one titled Shanti Kutir, a horror-cum-thriller flick. The second film, James, will introduce newcomer Mohit Alawat in the lead.
Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon will be soon seen on the screen after a hiatus in Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke, a film which has been much delayed. The two were last seen in Deewana Mastana.
Nobel laureate Amartya Sen's daughter Nandana, has been signed to play a key role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black.
After the resounding success of Baghban, the Chopras are planning another family saga titled Babul. And yes, this one too will feature Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Salman Khan.
Suniel Shetty and Fardeen Khan are in Jail together! Well, that's actually the title of a film they are both acting in. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the thriller will have two heroines one of whom will be Nandita Das. Hunt is on for the other one. Another film being made by Bhandarkar is titled Page 3 with Konkana Sen Sharma, Aparna Sen's daughter, playing the role of a journalist in it.
