Vinayak Menon recognized for substance abuse work

Vinayak Menon, who graduated from Lambert High School in Suwanee, GA, was invited to the White House by the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Dr. Rahul Gupta and recognized for his efforts to prevent substance abuse. Vinayak was the sole delegate from the U.S. to attend the Youth Forum of the 66th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs at the United Nations’ Office on Drugs and Crime. Dr. Gupta honored Vinayak’s efforts with a plaque at the ONDCP meeting that followed Vinayak’s tour of the White House. Vinayak, previously named the Youth Representative of the Year by the Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America, has led a program to distribute drug deactivation kits. He plans to study public policy at Princeton University.
