Vikas Agarwal, professor of finance at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, has been named Distinguished University Professor in recognition of his sustained and outstanding record in scholarship and instruction. Agarwal, the inaugural holder of the Bank of America Distinguished Chair of Finance, has conducted extensive research on issues related to institutional investors including exchange-traded funds, hedge funds, and mutual funds. His research addresses topics such as risk-return characteristics of institutional investors, policy uncertainty and households’ stock market participation. He has a PhD from London Business School.
