Shruti Nemala is among Emory’s Woodruff Scholars
December 2022
Shruti Nemala, of Johns Creek, Georgia, has been named as one of the 25 Emory Woodruff Scholars for the year. This scholarship program was created from a donation by Woodruff, the former president of The Coca-Cola Company, and recognizes students for their extraordinary academic accomplishments and servant leadership. Nemala has moderated debates for mayoral and city council candidates, volunteered with the Georgia Youth Justice Coalition, and served as an intern for a Fulton County Superior Court judge. She also served as editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper and president of the school orchestra, where she played violin. She plans to major in political science before attending law school.
