Samir Saini is a “Top 25 CIO”
Samir Saini, Chief Information Officer for the City of Atlanta, is on the cover of Government Technology magazine as among the ‘Top 25 CIO of Doers, Dreamers, Drivers 2017,’ and is also a Finalist for the ‘2017 Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards’ in the Nonprofit/ Public Sector category. These nominees represent the best-of-the-best in Georgia’s technology leadership. He has been recognized in India for his work here, using technology for responsive, customer-focused government; his projects include creating a safer environment for drivers, and Connect-Home, a federally-backed program that spurs internet equity for residents in assisted housing units—on target to connect 5,000 children to the internet by the end of the year. On his team in Atlanta are Vijay Gogineni, Deputy Chief Information Officer, and Murali Naidu, ERP Program Director.
