Nine-year-old Sai Ratan Shankar, a fourth grader from Forsyth County, has been ranked fourth in the USA Badminton Junior Ranking (Boys Singles Under 11 category). Starting 2023 with a bang, Sai has brought home a bronze in the Boys Singles (Under 11), as well as a gold in both Boys Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Under 11) categories, in the 2023 South California Open Regional Championship. He also bagged a silver in Boys Singles (Under 11) and a bronze in Boys Doubles (Under 11) in the 2023 South Frisco Open Regional Championship.
