Saachi Datta honored in Atlanta INtown’s “20 Under 20”
Saachi Datta, 16, a student in The Galloway School class of '17, is founder of Manāna, a group that creates joyous occasions for children in need through birthday parties and other festivities. She was chosen as a Giving Point member this year and was also chosen by Atlanta INtown magazine as one of their eighth annual ‘20 Under 20’ honorees—students and graduates from Atlanta’s public and private schools who are giving back to the community in extraordinary ways.
Saachi says that during an experience with a delighted 5-year-old, “I realized then that Manāna’s mission—to celebrate children’s lives—had come to fruition, and my commitment to the cause was sealed.” Now she adds, "I am delighted to be selected as one of the 20 Under 20. It's a wonderful feeling to know that the work of my organization, Manāna, has made a recognizable impact. I hope this exposure will create more enthusiasm and encourage more support for us!"
