Ruhi Patel receives Upakar Scholarship
Ruhi Patel of Stockbridge, Georgia, is among the six Indian- American students who were awarded Upakar Scholarships. Each scholar receives up to $8,000 each in tuition scholarship over their four years of undergraduate studies. Patel is a student at Georgia Tech. This year Upakar has announced partnerships with four donors to create memorial scholarships. Patel is the recipient of the Upakar Khuba Watumull Scholarship, along with two other students.
Neetu Watumull established the Khuba Watumull Scholarship in honor of her late father, a businessman who supported educational organizations through his philanthropy. So far Upakar has awarded 179 scholarships totaling to more than $700,000.
