Rockin Robots wins World Championship

Rockin Robots Team of 4th graders from Shiloh Point Elementary, Cumming, Georgia bagged the “Excellence Award,” the ultimate championship award for overall exemplary performance in multiple categories (Driver Skill, Robot Design & Engineering, Teamwork Challenge, & STEM Research) on April 25, 2017 at the week-long VEX IQ World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.
VEX Worlds 2017, presented by the Northrop Grumman Foundation, brings together top robotics teams in its five challenges, from elementary grades through ages 18+. It included the top 280 out of 1,400 teams from 30 countries, winners in events from June 2016 to March 2017. Technical and interpersonal skills were learned through hard work and fun for almost a year in the parent-led club, leading to the stellar results.
Automation Direct sponsored the team for the World Championship. CBS Sports will broadcast the VEX World Awards on June 11, 2017.
