Rifka Mayani to teach Bharatanatyam at KSU

Rifka Mayani’s mission is to “connect the dots and make a difference” between India and Atlanta. Already engaged in creating/promoting a student leadership exchange between Kennesaw State University and institutions in India, she has begun teaching Bharathanatyam at Kennesaw State University (KSU). A graduate from Sri Rajarajeshwari Bharatha Natyam Kala Mandir, Mumbai, she has been Dance Instructor & Choreographer of Tandav Dance Academy Atlanta, and has danced at many events, including the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Rifka is Associate Director of the KSU’s Enterprise Systems and Services Department, rolling out technology solutions. She was President of the University Administrators Senate, one of the four governing bodies at KSU. She has taught Business Information Systems Management at the Coles College of Business and continues as an affiliated faculty member for the Asian Studies Program. She earned an MBA from KSU, a Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) and a Bachelor’s in Arts (BA) with a Political Science concentration, both from the University of Mumbai. A motor sports enthusiast, she has participated in events like the Himalayan Car Rally Championship.Enjoyed reading Khabar magazine?
