Padma Bhushan for Dr. Jagdish Sheth
Dr. Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Business at Goizueta Business School, Emory University, was honored with the Government of India’s Padma Bhushan award on the country’s Republic Day, January 26, 2020. The Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award in the sphere of literature and education, was conferred upon Dr. Sheth for his lifetime work in the fields of industry, academics, government, and his contributions to Indian communities worldwide. Dr. Sheth has mentored TiE Atlanta for over 20 years and is founder of the Sheth Family Foundation. He remains active at age 81 in the fields of business and academics. Dr. Sheth will formally receive the award from the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at a ceremony in March.
