Local community leaders in Atlanta magazine’s Top 500
March 2023
Atlanta magazine has included many Indian-American community leaders in its Top 500 list for the 2023: Sanjay Sehgal, founder and CEO of MSys Technologies; Romil Bahl, president and CEO of KORE; Kabir Barday, founder, president, and CEO, OneTrust; and Ravi Saligram, president and CEO, Newell Brands, were recognized for their contributions in Business. Dr. Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Business at Emory University and founder of the Sheth Family Foundation; Dr. Gulshan Harjee, chief medical officer of the Clarkston Community Health Center; and Dr. Suresh S. Ramalingam, executive director of Winship Cancer Institute, were recognized in the Education and Healthcare section. Recognized in the Religion, Nonprofits, and Advocacy category were Aparna Bhattacharyya, executive director of Raksha, Inc., and Gaurav Kumar, president of the Andrew J. Young Foundation. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN and associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital, was honored in the Professionals category. Mit Shah, CEO of Noble Investment Group, was mentioned in the Restaurants and Hospitality section. Ambrish Baisiwala, CEO and chairman of Portman Holdings, and Shaneel Lalani, founder and CEO of Lalani Ventures, were recognized in the Real Estate & Design section. Noted for contributions in the Government and Infrastructure sectors were Rohit Malhotra, founder and executive director of the Center for Civic Innovation, and Balram Bheodari, general manager of Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
