Dr. Ponnusamy has been selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. This is an honor of excellence given by peers after a thorough vetting to recognize leaders in the field of medicine. Karthik Ponnusamy, M.D., M.S.E. is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is fellowship-trained in hip and knee replacements. He specializes in arthroscopy, hip and knee conditions, total and partial knee replacements, total hip replacements (including the direct anterior approach), robotic knee replacement/arthroplasty, and general orthopedics. Before earning his MD from Stanford University, he received a BS and an MS in with honors from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ponnusamy has contributed significant research to the medical community including presentations and publications on stem cells, tissue engineering, robotic surgery, and perioperative patient management.
