Ricky Walia, chief operating officer of Walia Hospitality Group, and Varun Yarabarla, development lead at VentLife, were among the dynamic Atlantans included in last year’s “40 Under 40” list put out by Georgia Trend. Both are entrepreneurs who stepped up their efforts in 2020 to meet the challenges of the pandemic. Walia, who owns Masti Indian Street Eats, served the community in partnership with other local businesses. Among other initiatives, they provided 15,000 prepackaged meals to 5000 families in need. Yarabarla is the youngest member of a team of engineers, doctors, and innovators who provided low-cost ventilators to Covid patients.
