Emory undergraduate teaching award for Harshita Kamath

Harshita Mruthinti Kamath, a professor at Emory University, was awarded the Emory Williams Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award in May 2023. The award was established in 1932 and honors professors with a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching. She is the Viswesara Rao and Sita Koppaka Associate Professor in Telugu Culture, Literature and History at the Emory College of Arts and Sciences. Kamath, who has been teaching at Emory since 2018, earned her BA from Emory, Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and PhD from Emory. Her research focuses on the textual and performance traditions of Telugu.
