Emory Excellence Award for Prof. Amita Manatunga
Amita K. Manatunga, Ph.D., has also been honored with an Emory Women of Excellence Award. As another recipient of the 2020 Award for Mentorship, she has been recognized for her extensive record of mentoring women statisticians and for co-founding the ENAR Diversity workshop, which seeks to promote recruitment, retention and mentoring of underrepresented graduate students. She was elected Fellow at the American Statistical Association in 2004. The recipient of Thomas Sellers Award from Rollins School of Public Health, she is a professor of biostatistics and bioinformatics at the school and a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
