Bhavana Kunnath receives award from Oglethorpe
Bhavana Kunnath has received the James Edward Oglethorpe Award. This award is given to two graduating seniors from Oglethorpe University who excel in scholarship, leadership, and character in the opinion of the faculty. Bhavana had previously received the Outstanding Senior in English award and graduated summa cum laude from Oglethorpe, where she was also a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, the Honor Council, and co-editor of the campus literary magazine, The Tower. She graduated one year early from Oglethorpe, having completed an honors thesis on South Indian horror comedies, presented numerous papers at the Liberal Arts Symposium, interned at a law firm specializing in immigration, and worked as a contributing writer for Khabar. Bhavana is now a student at Georgetown University Law Center.
