Beenu Arora’s Cyble reports data breach at BigBasket
December 2020
Beenu Arora’s Atlanta-based cyber security firm Cyble reported a data breach at BigBasket, India’s biggest online grocer, which could have led to personal information of more than 20 million users being offered for sale on the Dark Web. Cyble reported the breach after finding the data for sale online for $40,000 as part of its routine monitoring of cyber criminal activity. In the past month alone, Cyble has reported six breaches involving Indian firms including snack maker Haldiram’s, matrimonial- service website BharatMatrimony.com, and the Indian Railways’ online ticketing portal.
