Georgia Tech Qurbani placed First in national Bollywood fusion
Texas Jhalak is an annual dance competition held at the University of Texas at Austin that invites eight of the top Bollywood fusion dance teams from across the country to compete. It is one of the national qualifiers for Bollywood America. GT Qurbani placed First this time over teams from across the nation! GT Qurbani has won First Place (2014, 2016) and Second Place (2015) at Texas Jhalak.
The team has been ranked among the top 20 Collegiate Bollywood Fusion dance teams for 6 of the past 7 years and finished 2nd overall in the entire country at Bollywood America in 2015! The men perform Bollywood, hip-hop, bhangra, contemporary, and more. They compete at events across the United States and perform all around Georgia at family, company, and community events (generally with Bollywood and Bhangra performances).
