Ashwin Ramaswami wins crucial endorsements from politicians in Georgia
September 2024
As the U.S. election draws closer, Ashwin Ramaswami, who is seeking a seat in the Georgia Senate from District 48 as a Democrat, has won endorsements from many politicians. They include U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff, U.S. Representatives Lucy McBath and Ro Khanna, former Senator Jason Carter, the leaders of the Georgia Democratic Caucus, and Georgia Senators Nabilah Islam and Sheikh Rahman. Ramaswami, who was unopposed in the Democratic primaries, faces Shawn Still in the November election. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford, Ramaswami, a resident of Johns Creek, went on to earn a JD from Georgetown Law. “It’s the most flippable State Senate seat in Georgia,” he confidently tweeted. “Let’s go win this thing.”
