Anish Araque on winning team for national robotics competition
Grand Prize winners of the Wonder League Robotics Competition: Anish Araque, Truitt Fowler, Ellery Freund, Jessie Le, and Steven Li.
Anish Araque, age 10, is part of a team of students (the Unconditionals) from Head Elementary School in Lilburn, Georgia, that competed against more than 1,100 teams from around the country and earned an all-expense paid trip to Universal Studios, Google, and a chance to meet top engineers, game designers, and animators from Silicon Valley, after the team was named the Grand Prize Winner of the prestigious Wonder League Robotics Competition. The group also won Best Picture prize for most Oscar-worthy video. (See the video below.)
The team had to use coding to complete various challenges, and submit a video that demonstrates the solutions to the challenge. With diverse interests in science and math as well as art and video production, they worked tirelessly together before and after school and gave up many lunch periods to work on the competition.
