Amol Naik on transition team for Atlanta’s new Mayor
Amol Naik, currently Director of Special Projects at MailChimp, has been selected by Atlanta’s newly sworn in Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, as a member of her transition team.
The 38-strong team are representative of Atlanta’s many communities and will advise the Mayor on her first term agenda and counsel her on appointments for key Administration positions.
While in law school at Emory, he was Chief of Staff for the Georgia Senate Minority Leader. In his four years at Google and Alphabet, he worked on state and local government, community affairs, global political law, election law, and campaign finance. He was counsel and Senior Policy Advisor in former Mayor Kasim Reed’s 2009 mayoral campaign.
Naik is a Truman National Security Project Fellow, a Marshall Memorial Fellow, honored by the American Council of Young Political Leaders and Atlanta Business Chronicle (“40 Under 40”), and a Georgia Super Lawyers “Rising Star” (a yearly listing of 10 outstanding lawyers under 40). He serves on the Board of Visitors at his alma mater, Emory University, and was for two years on the Board of Directors of Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
