Ameya Jadhav, National Champion at Excel Tournament
Ameya Jadhav crowned National Champion 2019 at the ISOGRAD/FBLA TOSA Excel Tournament
Ameya Jadhav, a senior at Denmark High School, Alpharetta, Georgia was recently named National Champion of the ISOGRAD/FBLA TOSA Excel Tournament. TOSA stands for Test on Software Applications. He was awarded a prize of $3,000 as well as a trophy and medal for his performance in the tournament finals held in July in San Antonio, Texas, where students took an exam that used two case studies to show their proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ameya achieved the highest score among the ten student finalists, chosen out of 500 candidates for this tournament held by Isograd in partnership with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Isograd provides assessments and certifications for digital skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, digital literacy, and programming languages).
Ameya’s interests go well beyond being a high achiever. He plays guitar and alto saxophone, and moreover, is cofounder of a nonprofit, Teach-Technology Organization, Inc. (teach-technology.org), that helps young people and seniors familiarize themselves with technology. He has given a percentage of his award to the nonprofit.
