Good Sports: Two Indian Americans among Seahawks Coaches
Two veteran coaches of Indian descent will be coaching the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks this coming year. The team has hired Sean Desai as associate head coach-defense and Sanjay Lal as wide receivers coach.

Desai, who has coached in the NFL for nine years, was previously the defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears. Nicknamed “The Doc,” he has a doctorate in educational administration from Temple University. He had been with the Bears since 2013, spending six seasons as a defensive quality control assistant before becoming safeties coach in 2019.
Lal, who has been coaching in the NFL for 14 years, was previously the wide receivers coach in Jacksonville. This is his second stint in Seattle, having spent the 2020 season with the Seahawks.
