Good Sports: Pilot Provides Mid-Air Cricket Update
Rabid sports fans occasionally find themselves in a bind while traveling. How do they keep up with their favorite teams without Wi-Fi? This happened recently to Mumbai cricket fan Vikram Garga while aboard an IndiGo plane during a T20 match between India and South Africa.
Garga asked the pilot for an update and received a hand-written note: “SA 33/03, 6 overs, IND 133/9.”
Sharing a photo of the note on Twitter, Garga wrote, “India lost today but @IndiGo6E won my heart.”
IndiGo tweeted their approval of the pilot’s gesture: “We’re glad to see this. We wish to see you on board soon again.”
