Good Sports: Golfer Enjoys Success on Ladies European Tour
Indian golfer Diksha Dagar finished strong at the recent Lacoste Ladies Open de France, shooting a seven-under 64 in the final round to grab third place.
“I’m very happy to see the direction that my game is heading in,” said Dagar, 21, whose father, Col. Narinder Dagar, served as her caddy.
In 2019, she won the Investec South African Women’s Open, becoming the youngest Indian and first deaf player to win a Ladies European Tour event. She is also the only golfer in history to compete in the Olympic Games and the Deaflympic Games. She won a silver medal at the 2017 Deaflympics in Turkey and gold at the 2021 Deaflympics in Brazil.
