Good Sports: FIFA Recognizes Sunil Chhetri with Docuseries
Indian soccer star Sunil Chhetri has scored 84 goals for India in 131 international appearances. Only Lionel Messi with 90 goals and Cristiano Ronaldo with 117 have scored more international goals.
While Chhetri has not faced the top-level competition that the Argentine and Portuguese players have, FIFA has honored him with a three-episode series called Captain Fantastic.
“You know all about Ronaldo and Messi, now get the definitive story of the third highest scoring active men’s international,” FIFA tweeted, sharing an image of Chhetri standing on a podium beside Messi and Ronaldo.
